[Plugin: mTouch Quiz] internal server error / 500

    seems to be a very nice plugin. Unfortunately it doesn’t work for us.

    WP 3.0.1.
    Atahualpa Theme

    Inserting the bracket code [mtouchquiz X], with “X” being the ID of the quiz, the post/page is generating an ERROR 500 (internal server error).

    It could be the theme? Conflict with another plugin? (any white-lists?)

    Any pointers are welcome. We really would love to get this to work.

    The only other user to complain of a very odd display issue was using the same theme! Can you try switching themes just to entertain the possibility? Even for just a moment and switch back?

    It works on several sites I run.

    Get back to me. Let’s see if we can figure this out.

    Hi Michael,

    thanks for picking the ball. I’ve switched the theme to “twenty ten”. Same error. =(

    But – we are running a mobile switcher theme (Carrington Mobile) – accessing the page the quiz is attempting to load (no 500 error).

    So it does work on one of the themes (he has 3. His main Atahualpa Theme, the WPTouch and Carrington). It works only on the Carrington for him. I have the WPTouch on my site and it works. We will keep looking. But it definitely seems to be something in a theme/plugin combination.

    We’ll keep investigating.

    So here’s where we stand from our site:

    We are running WP 3.0.2 with Atahualpa 3.5.3. We’ve created certain customized widget areas within this theme (Atahualpa 3.5.3 allows you to do so). It seems that his current version 2.02 of mTouch Quiz is now in conflict with these customized widget areas. Atahualpa 3.5.3 is creating a dump file of these widget areas initiating the quiz. The former server error 500 got eliminated.

    Any help is appreciated, it is a great plugin to ‘fight for’

    Good news everyone! (Professor Farnsworth)

    It finally works. Michael worked very close with us to get his plugin in our environment running. Excellent work! He went above and beyond himself!!

    This plugin should now work with Atahualpa 3.5.3, especially with custom created widget areas and the plugin “My Customized Widget”.

    This wonderful plugin was worth the fight and some sleepless nights.

    I’m glad we were able to get it to work for you. Look for more improvements in the future. When something breaks, fixing it makes it better. I made several changes while working with your site that will benefit everyone.

    I have same issue with the 500 internal server error.
    Theme: Constructor 1.4.3
    Wordpress 3.0.5

    Seems all the plugins on the market either don’t work or are not complex enough.

    Can you have an ideea why I get the 500 internal server error?
