Yes, I have tested archives like categories, tags and authors. Custom taxonomies are working well in most cases. I closed an issue regarding the archives some time ago: https://github.com/lloc/Multisite-Language-Switcher/issues/4

How about custom post type archives? On my test site, the switcher seems to point to the paged paired with the last post in the archive list.
