  • I’m assuming you mean the output in your sidebar isn’t in order but the order on the “My Category Order” page is fine. You do need to overwrite taxonomy.php again, it gets replaced after each WP upgrade.

I had the same problem: the category order in the sidebar (user side) does not follows the order I provided in the ‘My category order’ panel.
It seems that the output in the sidebar follows the creation order (the first at the top, the last at the bottom)
My wordpress version is the 2.5.1 installed for the first time few days ago.
    Can you please help me?

Well, as far as I can say,
neighter my category, nor my link oder is working . . .
I already replaced the taxonomy.php but nothing happens.

I also work with gengo, but I hope that these two plugins don’t interfere.

I use WP 2.5.1 – would love to get this running, as it seems to be the only plugin, which gives the possibility to actually bring some order in the links/categories!

    Greetz!

    Christian

Christian, did you make the necessary changes to your theme or swap widgets?

It is not working for me either. I overwrote taxonomy as instructed.

I’m having the same problem. I have a brand new install of 2.5.1. I can order my categories in the plugin, but they are not in the correct order on my sidebar.

i had the same problem, but what i did was replace the code that renders the Categories section in my custom theme with the code that is found in the default template. then, at least the categories and subcategories showed up properly in relation to one another, but i still am not having any luck getting the main parent categories reordered.

does anyone have an idea why this is happening???

by the way, you can see what im talking about here…

    anybody?????

    ??

Still stuck. I can’t believe it’s so hard to order links…

This option must be a part of the core of wordpress, this is a shame!!!

VERY disappointing that such a basic and aesthetically necessary mod is receiving no support attention.

    not cool….. ??

    Hi guys,

Hello, did MyCategoryOrder plug-in stop working after the WordPress 2.6 upgrade?

    (@editorbailbondwebzinecom)

Upgraded to 2.6 and the plug-in stopped working. Any ideas on how to make it work again? Please let me know.
    [email protected]

The plugin should still work in 2.6, you just have to overwrite taxonomy.php again. I’m working on a big upgrade, but time is really tight right now so be patient.

And for anyone else running into issues, I don’t receive notifications about posts here, best to comment on my blog at https://geekyweekly.com/mycategoryorder
