    Hello,

I cant seem to get rid of an image size of 150×150. I even tried changing the WP default in the functions file.. This is what I have in the SC:

    [nlposts number_posts=1 title_only=false ignore_blog=1 thumbnail=true custom_post_type=page category=bff paginate=false posts_per_page=4 excerpt_length=30 auto_excerpt=false thumbnail_wh=200×111 display_type=block]

Downloaded the plugin this morning so I guess it is the latest version.

    Help appreciated..

    Kev

    Hello Kev,

Well, WordPress doesn’t resize thumbnails, it just crops them, it means if you want your thumbnails to display in 200px width by 111px height, the featured images must be bigger than 200×111 otherwise you won’t see them in those proportions.

Please check if your posts featured images are bigger than the size you want the thumbnail to display and let me know if it works.

    Cheers.

    Hello,

Thank you for your reply. The featured images are 940×520 and the dimensions used for NLP is proportionate at 200×111. The site is in development but you can take a look at it here https://bit.ly/P2f7EV

    Hi Kev,

Well I was investigating this issue and it seems it’s the way WordPress works, it’s not a problem related to NLPosts but to any plugin using WordPress hooks to pull post thumbnails.

Actually the only solution to this is to change the default thumbnail sizes under Settings > Media > Thumbnail Size (and check crop thumbnail to exact dimensions). Then use the plugin Regenerate Thumbnails to recreate all your thumbnails.

By default WordPress set thumbnails to 150×150, once they’ve been created that way, using thumbnail sizes within any plugin functions won’t affect this size, so when you’re using 200×111 you won’t see them 200×111 but (a cropped width)x111px (because it crops 150 to 111 px height).

I hope this helps, and sorry for not being able to provide a better solution.

    Hi Jose..

That works so I am really pleased.. Thank you for your effort to resolve the issue and to teach me something I did not know! I would recommend the “AJAX Thumbnail Rebuild” to perform the task after changing the settings..

    Thanks again..
