[Plugin: News-Ticker] Ticker Freezing

  • I have the news ticker installed on a site displaying different posts and it all seems to be working great, but if i click an item in the ticker then use the back button to return to the home page the ticker is now frozen and to start it ticking again I need to refresh the page.

    Has anyone experience a problem like this or have any ideas for a solution.

    I had similar problems to you.

    I did three things:

    1) I removed the code “sync: 0,” on line 58 in ‘ticker.php’
    2) Updated the jQuery Cycle plugin (cycle.js) to their latest version (2.88) https://jquery.malsup.com/cycle/
    3) Updated my jQuery library to latest version (1.4.3) https://jquery.com/

    Since doing that the plugin has been perfect, so give those steps a bash.

    That fixed all my problems too. It would stop cycling after the 2nd item.
