• I realize this is not the WPMU forum, but this concerns nextgen.
    I’m using WPMU 1.5.1 and NextGEN Gallery .98.

    It seemed to install fine. GUI navigation works. After adding a gallery and trying to upload pictures, I receive the following error:

    Warning: nggAdmin::require_once(/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/thumbnail.inc.php) [nggadmin.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in …wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/wp25/functions.php on line 275

    Fatal error: nggAdmin::require_once() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/thumbnail.inc.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/local/php-5.2.6-1/share/pear’) in …wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/admin/wp25/functions.php on line 275

    I took out the full path, but thumbnail.inc.php is in the directory specified. The pictures are uploaded into the correct directory. I can FTP and see them. The thumbnails aren’t created. The gallery details show 0 for the id and for the number of images. Both galleries have 0 as the id. Am I missing something else?
    BTW, the flash enabled upload doesn’t show the error, it just goes to 100% and acts like everything is normal.

    Thanks for the help.

  • check the permission for the files

    The NGGALLERY_ABSPATH was grabbing an incorrect directory structure from my hosting provider.
    I manually changed the lines in the functions.php to the actual path.

    Sorry to bug you. Thanks for all of your hard work on this plugin and others.

    Do you think I’ll run into other problems? Is there a way to change the NGGALLERY_ABSPATH value?

    I am getting the same error, can you detail your fix? I am not very well versed in editing these things.

    Thank you ??

    Never mind the question. I was missing a few files due uploading errors.

    I changed the permissions for the “gallery” folder, when you have sub galleries do they need to be 777 also. how about “albums”?

    thx. I get the fatal error thumbnail.php not found, on line 275 of functions.php
