[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Album shortcode not working on gallery page

I have created a template to display a list of galleries in an album so that I can use it as a navigation bar on my photos page. I call it with the following code on the sidebar:

<?php echo do_shortcode('[album id=3 template=list]'); ?>

It works perfectly on the page that I have the album displayed on but when I click into one of the gallery pages, the shortcode returns no data.

I would greatly appreciate help on this. It’s driving me crazy.
