• I just updated Next Gen Gallery and now the albums are not displaying on the same page they reside. It’s forcing me to link them to a page. Which I do not want to do. I want them to display right on that same page.

It worked yesterday and now it doesn’t work today. I have 5 sites with this plug in on it and every single one of them is messed up after the update.

Is there a new feature I should be aware of? I know before it was just a tick in the gallery options page that linked or unlinked the albums to a gallery page. It’s still there and checked.

    Here’s an example of what’s happening: https://www.drernieward.com/media/photos/

I had to do a work around on the site above due to the fact it gets a lot of traffic and the complaints started rolling in. However, this site hasn’t been launched and you can see the problem there as well.

This site is due to launch next week and I would love to not have to do another work around.

Nick, did you find out what is was?
I’ve actually got the reverse problem ??
I WANT to link my albums to a gallery sub-page, because in my case, clicking an album on my main parent album page, simply opens a gallery on that same page, leaving all the text I typed there in sight. I’ve created subpages for all galleries, and I simply want my albums to link there.

I’m thinking about removing the albums, and making my own links by creating thumbnails plus tekst myself and linking those to the correct gallery subpages. That would also make the URL’s look the way they should.

I did fill in the URLS of the gallery subpages in the settings, but that doesn’t seem to work…

Well when I upgraded to WP 3.0 the issue was magically fixed. Probably should have said something on here.

In the gallery options make sure you have “Deactivate gallery page link:” unchecked. Then from there you need to have a page with the shortcode for the gallery, and in the gallery management you need to have the page in which to link to selected…

    did that make sense?

Yes it did!! Than you so much, I complete misunderstood what that option was!
I already had subpages with galleries in them, where the albums were supposed to link to, plus I linked those pages url’s in the galleries, but the albums just didn’t go there. All because of that little checkbox.

Well, it makes complete sense now, thank you very much for taking the time to respond ??
    Resolved!

Sorry, but I’m not following you, Nick. I have the problem you originally reported.

…Then from there you need to have a page…

From where? I don’t want another page for the gallery. I already have a page for the album.

Never mind. It’s working now for some reason…
