• This was discussed over 4 years ago, but it doesn’t look like a solution was shared. Also it was for version 1.0.

    Anyone know how to setup a cron job or modify the script to have the plugin scan for new images so they become visible in gallery without having to manually scan for them each time?

    What do you think would be the best, most stable, way to handle this;
    Generating the thumbs before uploading via FTP or do you think doing it on the server, would be about one upload a minute for 4 hours at a time, would be okay? (I use shared hosting on hostgator)

    Also to add another layer of complexity, I would want to update two galleries at once. I was thinking I could probably get around this by running alternating process, gallery A every two minutes and gallery B every 3.5 minutes.

    This would be a KILLER feature to add to the new pro mode. Have a check box or be able to set a time period to have a gallery run an automatic updater.

    PS
    I don’t have much php programing experience so please eli5.
