[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Blog Directory Path No Longer Being Set in MultiSite mode

NextGEN Gallery has a WordPress MultiSite option to specify a per-blog directory, e.g.:

wp-content/blogs.dir/%BLOG_ID%/files/

After the WordPress 3.0 upgrade, this no longer works on sites that are activating NextGEN for the first time. Existing sites work fine because they already had that variable set, but new sites default to wp-content/gallery/.

This breaks things because NextGEN doesn’t know the proper directory to upload files to. My guess is that either something changed in in WP 3.0 in how Site-wide variables are called, or somehow this part of multisite functionality in NG got dropped. I haven’t had a chance to dig into the code yet to see for myself, but I hope to later this week.

I’m using NextGEN 1.5.5 with WordPress 3.0.
