[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] customizing the admin section

I am wondering if there is a way to decrease the amount of space that the “exclude column” and the ” filename column” ocuupy slightly so that I can increase the width of the ” Alt & Title Text Description box. I think that this would be found in the nggadmin.css file but I have had no luck.
It looks to me like the css is written to slide out to accommodate many different size monitors. I am trying to make it easier for my client to add the text and description content and they are working on a small monitor so the ” Alt & Title Text & Description box is quite narrow, and the ability to pull it out and scale the ” description content box does not work seem to work in Firefox or in all versions of Chrome.
I hope that I have explained this clearly and it makes sense to some smart and kind programmer out there that can tell me if it is at least possible to do what I want to.
