• Hi All,

Has anyone come across a way to display a gallery or album directly within a thickbox?

Rather than having to create a separate post or page for each album or gallery I want to be able to click on a link from the main page and immediately it opens as a thickbox…?

Is there some code that can be added somewhere so the immediate display is a thickbox?

    Cheers,

    Sam

not on the current site, a great example is the way facebook displays images now. Rather than taking you to a different page with all the pics lined up on it, a thickbox overlay pops up and allows you to click through the images one by one….

isn’t this possible with a lightbox?
I don’t know if NGG has it native, but maybe there’s a way to advance the lightbox via plugin or jquery.

it may be – my knowledge of NGG modification is very limited so I have tried to make sense of the code to no avail. I know that via the “Effects” tab you can change the effect for when an image is clicked on but for that to apply the gallery is already up and displaying.

Essentially i’m looking to add a thickbox or lighbox call to the shortcode [nggallery id=3] and have it display the first, with all images from that gallery ready to cycle through….
