• Hi there

I create my nextgen gallery and everything works fine, the only thing is that I have one dropdown menu on my site that is pretty long vertically, and it appears behind the gallery thumbs.

Has anyone experienced this problem before and if so how can I fix it?

Your help will be much appreciated

    thanks

  • I fixed a similar problem with z-index in css.

I am using the template Alkivia Chameleon 2.2.1 by Jordi Canals
The only z-index setting files I found was in the nextgen gallery’s admin folder, and in the nextgen gallery’s shutter folder.I adjusted these settings for the z-index as you specified in the tutorial, but nothing changed. The template has a dropdown menu so maybe I should adjust something there.

You can view the site here

If you click on products-IT and then hover over the swatches tab you will see what I mean.

Anyway, thanks for having a look, I’ll keep playing around and if I succeed I’ll let you know.

    Thanks

here is the link again, i mistyped the previous one

Same problem here, haven’t found a solution yet either ??

I have added position:absolute to the dropdown and the img and a z-index for both, still nothing.

Ok, I seem to have solved it. As applying the z-indeces did not work I had to think of something else. As you can only apply z-indeces to positioned elements, I set all img in gallerymode to position: static, that did the trick. It might solve your problem too.

    Good luck ??
