[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Facebook comment on individual photos

Do you mean integrating the Comment Box within Lightbox or do you use the singlepic template?

Im looking to have it within the lightbox… i think? Im looking to have it on each in individual photo when they pop up in flash without having them on actual separate URLS

Well… they use the attachement template for their comment box. I generate a post for each picture, storing the post-id in a custom field, using the singlepic template for special output for every picture. You should try the same, ’cause I don’t really know how to solve this within the auto generated content.

sevb: how do you add comments to individual images? As you link? I am new to wp. Pls help.

Adding Facebook like and tweet buttons to the individual images isnt THAT painful.

If you have the latest wordpress, install JetPack, it should be prompting you to install it at this point.

Set up your sharedaddy settings in jetpack (select facebook, twitter etc)

Then go to edit your plugin and edit nextgen-gallery/view/gallery.php

Find the spot you would like your buttons to appear on the individual post page and add <?php echo sharing_display();?> the shortcode for sharedaddy and your share buttons will appear!

LizzyLu are you using Disqus for your comments? If not, you may want to look into that.

Editing Gallery.php will be the key to get all you guys up and running. Be careful though, when NextGen releases and update, remember to back up gallery.php!

same problem, anybody is able to achieve, I am trying achieve the same facebook type gallery view with comments on the left side of the image and content is coming dynamically per image.

see the bottom of the light box.. it say “Facebook social plugin” … i click on that, and maybe there is the solution that all of us is looking for… i′m read it right now (sorry for my robotic english)
