[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Flash upload doesn't work any more

I have the same problem here!!

I like the gallery plugin very much and I’m using it for a few years now. I now had a problem with the new version, and I put the old version back again, but I got the same problem there at once:

When I want to upload pictures in a gallery, I can’t use “flash upload”, because the Browse button isn’t working anymore!?

I then used another computer, but I had the same problem overthere.

Any suggestions??

Well, I’ve been searching and the problem is that the images are larger than 2mb.
Check this, and if the images are larger, it is a problem of your server settings and not of the nextgen gallery.

In the php.ini file on your server, you can change the maximum upload size. But this isn’t possible on ‘shared’ servers, like mine… so my problem is not solved, maybe yours with the instructions on this site:

I can’t use the button, so the program doesn’t see that the images are too large!
I’ve put an earlyer version back (1.8.0) and this one is working very good again.

i have no idea why this happened:

I installed Nextgen Gallery 1.9.3, used the flash uploader to upload about 20 pix, and then, before i even logged out of that session the flash uploader just stopped working. The ‘upload photos’ buttons wouldn’t press. The regular uploader only does one pic at a time, and no drag and drop -slow…

I uninstalled Nextgen -having to erase the whole thing from the wordpress directory on the server– reinstalled it about 4 times, still the flash uploader didn’t work, installed the older version, 1.7.4. –got a message to update Nextgen, it seemed it wouldn’t even let me use the older version, so i did the update, and the flash uploader started working again???

There is still a notice to upgrade to 1.9.3, but i think i will not do it.
