[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Gallery order preference won’t save.

  • All other options in all other section will save just fine, including all the others in the ‘Galleries’ section. But for some reason, when I try to change the gallery display order from ascending to descending, after I hit save it goes right back to ascending and nothing is changed. I thought it would be a file permission issue at first, until I realized it’s the only option not working. Is there a config file somewhere where I can change this manually?

    On a side note, the “Deactivate gallery page link” box doesn’t really do anything for me. When it’s not checked, the album page looks exactly the same, but the links don’t work. I have to enable it in order for links to go to other pages. I was hoping to have it where the album page would just show the albums, and you wouldn’t see galleries listed until you click the album link. Looks like I’ll have to do this manually.

  • I can’t sort the galleries either now ?? The sort order is not saved. Any solution?

    I wonder if it’s a bug with the new WP versions? Would love to know if this is happening to more than us two!

    Could you disable other plugins for a test and ceheck it again ? Any Script error in your browser ?

    I went ahead and disabled all additional plugins with no effect. Same issue.

    I then checked for script errors in both Safari and Firefox, and neither listed any. Oh and I have reproduced the issue on a fresh machine, just to see if it was possibly related to cookies or caching. Doesn’t appear to be the case.

    I also went ahead and changed the plugin folder and enclosed items to 777 permissions, just to see if possible a file was unwritable. That didn’t change anything either. Lame!

    This might be an old post but i’m facing the same problem. It looks like it occured after i updated to Versie: 1.4.3.

    Extra info: it’s the ‘Sort thumbnails: Custom order’
    Where the Ascending/Descending part doesn’t work. It keeps flipping back to ‘Ascending’.
