[Plugin: Nextgen Gallery] Gallery Themes not showing correctly

    WP 2.9.2, Nextgen Gallery 1.5.3, Wootheme = Canvas.

    Several issues:
    The symptoms flip between states (1) and (2) below:
    (1) When I try to put a gallery theme and tag into a blog post, it is not visible in the published post. It will show up in the preview post however.

    (2) When I change the embedded nggallery tag in the post sometimes the preview will not work. But when it doesn’t work, then the gallery shows up in the published post.

    example tag which makes this happen…..

    [nggallery id=2 template=carousel images=6]

    So the nggallery is in one or the other, but never both! I think that maybe every time I try the carousel theme tag, then it messes up something. Then, it seems to get stuck in this state where preview of post will nto function. I then had to deactivate the plugin and I also hit “reset” on the quick post button on the dashboard page.

    Other issue:

    (3) The gallery shows up on my home page. However, if I try to change gallery themes, it does nto seem to change on the home page. It seems it is stuck at the NGgallery theme. I have loaded the nggallery themes into the/wp-content/themes/canvas/nggallery/ directory. Is there some option parameter that I have to load this path into?

    Any ideas what could be causing these issues? Something is definitely not working correctly.

    Update..
    I am slowly working thru some of these issues and making sense out of it all. Somehas been my misinterpretting of info and some is some kind of a bug.

    First, I tried to run Galleryview in a post, which requires another plugin, which was not installed, and this seems to mess things up where the post preview stops working. Now that I am back to a working preview, I can summazrize my remaining issue below.

    When trying to put a gallery into a post, the preview of the post looks fine, and when I click on “view post” jsut above the edit box, that produces a vew of the post which looks fine. But, when I publish the post changes or post, and go to the blog page to look at the post, the gallery is not in the post, just as if I did not add anything.

    No problem with putting the galley on a page. I do not have this problem in that case.

    Any ideas. Theme issue? I am using Canvas. Plugin issue?

    I am having the same issue but a little different –
    The gallery works in the post when I call the front page, but when I call the specific post, only the title and text in the body of the post shows up and the gallery does not.
    I am scratching my head about this, as I cannot seem to get it to work to call within the category or archive clicks. It also will not properly execute the facebook share functionality.
    Help please – I have not seen anybody addressing this problem, all of the questions that are similar do not have any answers –

    I have solved the issue of the smooth gallery not posting correctly. it was a simple matter….
    I had been using
    [smooth=id: yyy; width:700; height:700; timed:true; arrows:true; carousel:false; links:true; info:true; align:center; frames:true; delay:9000; transition:crossfade;]
    in the posts to get around the carousel problem,
    However, when I switched to the simple
    [smooth=id:yyy;]
    in the posts, everything started to work…
