[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Header code – restrict to pages with actual galleries?

There is a lot of page bloat when my site loads — particularly on the homepage, which does not use NextGen Gallery yet all of the scripts and stylesheets are linked in the header. I scoured the plugin files but couldn’t locate the script loader — is there a way to keep the plugin files from loading automatically on in wp_head()? I am only using the gallery on the single page template.
