• Hi

    I am using nggallery and I love it! Thanks for the terrific plugin!
    I have one small question about a feature I would like to add:
    When viewing a single picture from a gallery, below the image there are arrows for browsing backward/forward through the gallery. Here it would be nice to have a third button “Back to Gallery” that links back to the thumbnail preview view of the gallery.

    I looked at the code and found the place where to do it, but I didnt know how to get the active gallery id to build the link back to the correct gallery. I assume this is very easy to do and might be a feature other people like too?

    Thanks

  • the active gallery (if I am not wrong) is gid

    $gid = $gallery->gid;

    Hello,
    Its been a while since your post but I am hoping someone can help.
    Where do you insert that code?

    I am also wondering how to put a link on the gallery page back to the thumbnail page. Once you arrive at a page, I have set it up to have thumbs with a link that says “view slideshow”.

    However, If you click on one of the thumbnails instead you can browse the images full size, like yours, but there is no link back to the thumbnails or slideshow.

    Help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

    ps. I have unchecked the checkbox “the gallery will open the ImageBrowser instead the effect.” so i can bypass this link issue for the time being, but only temporarily. So now the image browser which requires a back to gallery link on it is not currently viewable FYI in case you visit my page. Thanks
