[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] how to open directly a page with 1 photo

hi!
i’m a freelance journalist and photographer, and i’d love to use opensource and a selfmade website with nextgen for showing my pictures, as I find it very useful for many features, but i’m not able to get what i need.

First, what i don’t need: i don’t need a presentation page with all the thumbnails of my pictures. The photos must be seen one my one in a rigid sequence and, when i get to the link “photos of Darfur”, i don’t want the people see all images togheter, and open as first, one in the middle, just because more attractive. They must open a page showing directly the first image, and then an arrow (gif, in flash, or whatever) drives them to the next picture, and so on.

It’s a very simple, basic need, but it is incredible i can’t any open source solution to do so in wordpress in a light, easy theme.

Could I manage this with nextgen, and how?
