    Hi Alex,

just updated my nextgen gallery from 0.93 to 0.95 by d/loading the zip file, deactivating the plugin, replacing the old nextgen-gallery with the new version and reactivating the plugin.

Thumbnails are showing fine in the galleries BUT when I click on one to take me to the image it gives a page not found. A typical url is https://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/nggallery/page-9/album-9/gallery-89 which is clearly wrong as the gallery is in the default wp-content/gallery folder.

I use the permalinks and have set that in the gallery options and refreshed the permalinks in the WP settings.

You can find the same faults on any of the galleries on https://www.photosbykev.com . Any thoughts or advice to fix this issue?

  • I think you must deactive the permalinks in the gallery options, because it only supports mod_rewrite.

Did this permalinks worked before ?

That sorted it Alex ?? I assumed I needed to check the permalinks within the Gallery settings as well as the WP settings. Thank you for the prompt response.

ps have you seen or considered using a zoomify type of feature within the nextgen gallery for very high resolution images? Something like this https://www.photosbykev.com/wordpress/index.php/photography/panoramic/cemaes-bay/

Looks like google maps in a flash version… Are you sure that people need such a feature for gallery images ?

it would benefit clients who want to see large resolution images before purchase. But probably not that useful to general users.

The addition of a ‘zoomify’ plug-in would be MOST helpful to ‘general users’, too! Please, if anyone knows of such an item – or how to get Zoomify to work INSIDE WP – please!!! – Let us know.
