• Hi
NextGenGallery plugin is great, works for me on many levels.
But in one section where I’m currently using the image browser with next / prev buttons, I would like to disable the thickbox effect and have the image to be a next button too when pressed.. or even better would be a next/prev button over each side of the image as seen in some other galleries.

    Would this be possible?

  • Hey,

On your dashboard you should have the Gallery tab, which was added there once you had installed and activated the Nxgen gallery.

Open that tab and click on “Options”, once in options there should be more tabs running horizontally on the top. click on the top horizontal tab called “effects”.

Under Javascript thumbnail effect: it gives you a drop down menu. change that to lightbox or whatever one you want. ??

    Hope this helped.

    Hey, thanks for your answer.

I’ve already been through those settings, but none of them do what I want.
If I Choose ‘none’ it still opens the picture in a new window if clicked.
There is a ‘custom’ option, which I assume could be used to do what I need..
If I only knew how to do that exactly.. ??

Can I make a custom function somewhere and then call it from that menu?
