Hi all and hi Alex,(thanks for the amazing plugin) ??

I tinkered a lot with codes and the sidebar widget but I stil can’t sort out how to do a specific thing:

I’d like to show a full gallery in the lightbox by calling it by clicking on the reference thumbnail of the specific gallery I decided to insert in the sidebar.

I try to make it more clear. I’d like to have this situation:

1 – I chose to insert a specific gallery in my sidebar (like I already do with the slideshow widget”. I haven’t a widgetized theme but that’s not a problem I can do it manually with the code)

2 – In my sidebar the main thumbnail (i chose under the gallery options) is shown at the size I set.

3 – When I click on the thumbnail, the gallery that thumbnail belongs to is opened in lightbox and I can browse the full gallery in that lightbox window.

Is there a way to get this thing done?

Hope I’ve been clear enough. ??

Thanks in advance to whom may answer to this ??

  • What you need for such a result is a iframe or ajax call, I know that thickbox is able to do this, but I’m not sure if lightbox can the same.

Anyway it requires additional coding, you need to call the gallery code within a extra php file.
