[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Next Gen Gallery problem! – Can’t add a gallery!

  • Site is mastacraft.com – i’ve installed and uploaded the plugin as well as everything needed to activate it and now i’ve activated it! So i login and click Add Gallery and every time i do that this happens:

    Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/xxx!
    Directory wp-content/gallery/xxx is not writeable !
    Unable to create directory wp-content/gallery/xxx/thumbs !
    “

    I’ve played around with permissions in the ftp made the folder etc. nothing seems to work! Any ideas?

  • Im having same problem, its been annoying me for ages! I hope someone helps soon!
    I have tried creating the galleries manually – by adding new folders using my ftp clinet.

    I want to add monthly albums, that contain weekly galleries. For example, i want to add the gallery ‘halloween’ in to the album of October.

    I have followed instructions and added the folder at destination wp-content/photos/halloween and also a folder inside that one called ‘thumbs’

    When i go to add an image, it is still saying i have no galleries!! Arrrgggg

    As user above states, i have changed all setting on folders to ‘777’ so shouldnt be any problem with WP or nggallery accessing.
