• Hello,

This is now the only part of the new website that I’m building that isn’t working and I’d really like to resolve it rather than to just remove the option to click on a thumbnail.

At the moment when you click on a thumbnail image it just opens it on a new page. You then need to click the browser back-button to return to the gallery and click the next thumbnail.

Here is a link to the gallery, it is a secure gallery and the password is: test1

    https://www.ph-design-test.co.uk/rebecca-jon-1.html

The Effects option is set to Shutter and the following code is in the box below:

    class=”shutterset_%GALLERY_NAME%”

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Hi there,

I’ve now resolve this but it was actually something to do with the theme that I was using (JPhotolio).

If you want to test to see if there is a conflict with your theme, the way I did it was to activate the original WordPress “Twenty Eleven” theme that comes pre-installed.

I then tested the gallery page and found that the lightbox option was working. This made it obvious that the problem was with the theme.

I then contacted the theme developer and then after a few attempts, we managed to edit the .php code and now the lightbox is working.

Fingers crossed you have the same success! ??

Hello, thanks for the idea, but unfortunately it didn’t work.

I built a child theme for the “Twenty Eleven” theme, but even when I deactivated the child theme the gallery did not work.

I even uninstalled the gallery plug in and tried again, still nothing.

Well back to the drawing board. Keep those fingers crossed for me.

    HA… I feel like such a noob…lol

I completely forgot to install the Jquery for light box. I had thought that it was part of the nextgen install. I don’t recall having to do it before.

Installed the NextGen Optimizer and KABOOM! All is well.

Oh well hopefully some one else will find my mistake helpful.

    Nice one! ??

Yep, the NextGEN plugin seems to only come with Shutter and one other lightbox option… even though the drop down lists others.

It’s a bit confusing but you got there in the end.

Glad to here it all works now! ??
