[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] NextGEN error under WP 2.8 Beta 2

    I know that NextGEN is supported up to WP 2.7 but I’d like to share this as this may help to prepare an important upgrade in the future.

    I’ve installed NextGEN (the newest version) under WP 2.8 Beta 2.

    Everything works just fine except one thing:

    if you try to add a gallery to an album, the album doesn’t save settings resulting the gallery is not added at all.

    In other words if I create an album, I can’t add any galleries there. I drag them to the album area and drop it there. If I try tu update these changes, they can’t be saved.

    All other functions seem to work fine.

  • Having the same problem. Running WordPress 2.8 beta 2 and NextGEN Gallery 1.2.1.

    Noticing 2 problems in the WordPress Admin for NextGEN Gallery:

    1. Overview screen only displays “Welcome to NextGEN Gallery!” and “Sever Settings” info. It’s missing the “Latest News” and Graphic Library” info.

    2. Cannot add a Gallery to an Album. I can drag a Gallery to the Album side of the screen, but clicking Update doesn’t make the Gallery “stick” in the Album.

    Otherwise, everything else works well so far.

    I confirm the bur reported by Reidwalley.

    Also reporting another bug under WP 2.8 beta 2. When you try to rescale images at any gallery (single or several pics at once, ie. 3000x2000px) this fatal error occurs:

    ID 222: Error
    [more]

    Fatal error: Out of memory (allocated 76283904) (tried to allocate 12804 bytes) in /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php on line 927

    it’s already fixed in the upcoming version, a first beta will be released today

    I’m running WordPress 2.7.1 I have is the problem, but the gallery works (its a little buggy) but I also get this error message:
