• this is a mysterious problem. i tried all kinds of settings, but it didn’t work.

I’ve a gallery with about 50 photos and they are on 3 pages. The first page loads fine, but when i want to see the other page of thumbnails, the links are broken and take me to homepage ! I’m really puzzled and do not know where to do the proper changes.

please see for yourself here: gallery

I’m really desperate, please help… what do i fail to see?

I’ve a gallery that’s on an Media page, not on the blog main page. The gallery indicates 3 pages with thumbnails.

    1 – 2 -3

But when i click on the page 2, the link takes me to blog default page instead of the second page of the gallery on the Media page.

    anyone ????????????
    here is the page

Do you have the same behaviour with the default theme ?

I assume you mean the word press theme as i didn’t see any gallery specific themes.
I’ve just switched to test this to the default theme and it has exactly the same behavior.

ps: i switched it back in case people are already looking into the content

    am i doing something wrong?

    Alex,

i would be happy to give you admin access the site, if you have some ideas to try with the gallery.

please email me at: [email protected]

Hello, I’m having the same problem. I’m running WP 2.7.1 with theme Atahualpa. I’m going to keep checking back to see if you figure out anything. Or you can email me at [email protected]. The art gallery site that I’m running is at https://www.balartists.com.

Funny thing, my personal blog at https://www.jamiesdesigns.com also has the exact same theme and the same software installed. But it works on my website, I have a paged gallery at https://jamiesdesigns.com/wordpress/?p=483 and it works great.

Only difference between the two sites is that the WP install is in the root directory on the BAL site. (and I’m not going to move it! )

I hope that we find a fix.

    – Jamie.

    I am using WP 2.7.1 with Atahualpa theme. I have set that permalink to be date and post title such that;

    https://[hostname]/2009/06/02/sample-post/

Then the gallery appear to work fine, but then getting the following 404 error each time a user try to load the full image.

    https://[hostname]/2009/05/31/wp-includes/js/thickbox/loadingAnimation.gif

I believe that your plugin is adding the date portion in the URL which is not required to fetch the GIF.

Hope to see it fixed soon. Thanks.

Same problem here. Paged galleries will only show the first page. Clicking on 2,3,4, etc leads back to the overview-page. No matter which theme is activated…

heyho. new version 1.3.1 and still the same problem…

    yes, that′s my problem too.
And the Overview-Page shows the overviews twice.

Failure exists since upgrade to 1.3.1
before upgrade the gallery worked fine without errors.

I had some of these bugs and fixed it by:

The problem can be fixed by deleting the NexGen folder and re-uploading version V1.2.1 – 22.03.2009. If you already installed 1.3.1 In order to make the gallery stop nagging you to ‘upgrade’ find the nggallery.php from version 1.3.1 and upload it to the Nexgen folder

    Fixed/patched/whatever it works,
    ~DHO

I was experiencing the broken link problem as posted originally and fixed this by resetting to the default options via the gallery setup page.

The slideshow link was also exhibiting the same behaviour; I’d read on other posts about a permalink issue and noticed an “activate permalinks” option on the options – general options page. Ticking this seemed to solve that problem.

Hope this helps anyone with the same problem.

    Yaay!! I’ve fixed my site!

I called my host and had them move my site to a Linux server. I was on Windows. Cleared it right up. They said that WordPress was happier on a Linux server. That also solved a funny issue I had with not being able to search my posts in the backend of the site.
