I just installed Nextgen. I followed the installation notes and dragged the imagerotator.swf file in the nextgen gallery directory. However, in wordpress, when i go to the options, i get a message that it is missing and that i need to install it in my uploads. I tried this but get the same message.

  • I have the same problem – Should we extract the SWF into the /uploads directly or should we leave it insite the /uploads/imagerotator ?

I’m also confused by this – would love to get imagerotator working.

yes it should in the upload folder and you need to set the url in the gallery options

I can’t work this out either. I have the imagerotator.swf in the uploads path, as per the notice and documentation, but there is no sign of this ever going to work.

Re: “set the url in the gallery options”, there appears to be only two paths that can be set – the Gallery default path, and the path to imagemagick. Having the SWF in the gallery path doesn’t help, so I assume there is some other secret to this?

The option is under slideshow not gallery.
