Okay, I managed to find a computer with IE9 on.

There are two possible ways to fix this:

    1) In your browser, disable compatibility view and the image upload shows just fine. It can be toggled thought the little icon in the adress bar which looks like a torn page. (This was actually suggested in an earlier post as well)

    2) Apply the fix suggested by inniskr then it works both in compatibility view and otherwise.

So Ballet news, please apply method 1 and await an update.

I, too, cannot get the Add Gallery/Images page to load. Everything else seems to work fine. I just can’t add images.

Why people do not read earlier posts???

Tools -> Compatibility View Settings -> Remove (your site from) “Websites you’ve added…”, then Close.
    Refresh (F5).

Thanks. It worked. Just to clarify: I did read your earlier post but since you said Do Next, I thought you were specifically talking to Ballet not to everyone in general. I’m grateful for your help!

    Ok. You are right.
    The solution for all:
Tools -> Compatibility View Settings -> Remove (your site from) “Websites you’ve added…”, then Close.
    Refresh (F5).

I CANNOT use the previous version of this plugin because whenever an update is issued it does not work unless I accept the upgrade.

What does that mean? Sorry, my English is not that perfect.
Does WP forces you to upgrade that plugin, otherwise it will not work anymore?
If that’s the case, you should take a look at your WP-installation and maybe reinstall. I’m still using the previous version and it’s working well.

@jpivan sorry I just reconfirmed your solution as a valid one. I am sorry if it sounded like I found it. However, I did mention that it was propoesed in a previous post.

Sorry to sound so dumb, but I can’t find “compatability view settings” in tools as jpivan described. Can anyone direct me?
I tried looking in NGG as well.

Hi, I have a similar problem where I cannot upload images to the gallery.

My theme is 1.7 Thesis by Chris Pearson and I upgraded from 1.8.4 to 1.9.0. I’m using IE9.

    I tried the suggested fix:
“Tools -> Compatibility View Settings -> Remove (your site from) “Websites you’ve added…”, then Close.”
But my website was not added here ??

I disabled all other plugins but the problem still occurred.

I deleted the NextGen Gallery & re-installed – but to no avail.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    My website is https://www.castleparkresidents.com/

    Thanks.

@edlund, no problem, I have not thought of you
@raygarcia, do you use IE9? If yes, Tools in IE9 menu, not in WP.

P.S. maybe my English is poor, but I hope my advice helps.

THX to inniskr for the solution, the fix for IE7 user will be added to the next release, see

    Hi @ all!

I have also a problem with my NextGEN Gallery and maby Alex, you can help me.
The folders who are created by the Plugin, have the wrong properties on the server and the pic’s are not showed. The Server shows me a 403 Error.
Every time i create a new Gallery, i have to set the properties on the Server manualli.
Of corse thats not what i want to do everytime someone of my colleagues create a new gallery.
So i was talking to my hosters support and this guy told me, that this is caused by a setting of the plugin or wordpress and i have to solve it by myselfe.

So, my question i now, is it possible, that this problem really is caused by the plugin or wordpress itselfe and if it is, does anybody now how to solve? Google diden’t have an answer for me.
Or do i have to kick my hosters ass? ??

Sorry if this should be a stupide question or the wrong place to post it, but i’m searching for days for a solution and i’m still a rookie.

I went through the same issue, having an empty page at ../wp-admin/admin.php?page=nggallery-add-gallery.
It took me a whole day to find out that the problem came from the plugin Find Me Elsewhere. By deactivating it, it worked back.

I have been trying to use NextGEN Gallery – which by the way is a sweet gallery plugin, to which there is almost no comparable plugin – versions 1.9.2 and versions 1.9.1 with my WordPress 3.3.1 install with no luck. The Plugin seems to be functioning almost correctly, save for the ‘Add Gallery/Images’ page or ‘Upload Images’ link, which seems to be going to a blank white page inside of the Admin/Dashboard.

Underneath the Gallery/Overview the ‘Check Theme Comparability’ reports the following error: Missing the call to wp_head() in your theme, contact the theme author

I have tried over 10 different Themes with no luck (I even tried the blank Theme Starkers), and I have checked my header to make sure that the <?php wp_head(); ?> is there in front of the </head> tag; it is!

A couple of months ago I installed the NextGEN Gallery 1.9.1 on the https://www.burghbears.org website, and it worked fine with every Theme and WordPress 3.3.1 (and still does). So, I even tried downloading it from that website, and uploading to my new website to alleviate the problem; it didn’t work!

Has something changed to which I’m unaware? Why would the plugin report the following error: Missing the call to wp_head() in your theme, contact the theme author, when the code is there? More weirdly know, the Plugin seems to be functioning almost correctly, save for the ‘Add Gallery/Images’ page or ‘Upload Images’ link, which seems to be going to a blank white page inside of the Admin/Dashboard.

    Help?
