[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Sub Galleries? Slideshow from mulitple Galleries

    I’m having a problem achieving the desired results that I need with NextGen, and I’m wondering if there is a way for me to accomplish what I need that maybe I’m missing. You can see what I’m working on here:

    So I have basically 5 Galleries setup here. They are pretty much displaying how I want them from a thumbnail perspective except in the 4th Gallery down (Fog and Rain). I’m not sure why the thumbs are acting weird there. It probably has something to do with the different size thumbs. If you can offer any suggestions on correcting that problem it would be appreciated. Otherwise I’m sure I can resolve that by reordering things, but that’s not my preference.

    The Bigger problem, is that I would don’t want to have separate slideshows for each Gallery. If someone chooses Slideshow or PicLense, I want it to display everything from all galleries.

    Now I know I could put all these into a single Gallery in NexGen but that’s not really my preference as the back end organization is very much like I would like to have it, I want the artist to be able to organize her work by Series. If that’s not possible, I am willing to put everything into a single gallery, if someone can tell me how I would break up the display of the thumbs into sections based on the artist series, how they are pretty much displaying now.

    This probably goes hand in hand but I would also like to have a random slideshow on the home page that chooses from all the galleries and not just one. Can a random slideshow be done off of an album?

    Here’s Someone that suggested a hack for doing sub galleries with NexGen v. 0.98, but I’m currently using v 1.02, so I don’t know if this could be integrated or not. My .php skills are minimal.

    Any suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. One thing to bear in mind that the ultimate goal of this, is to hand this site over the artist so that she can manage it 100% on her own, so I need whatever solution that is used to be as user friendly as possible.

    Also, if there is a different Plugin that you think more appropriate, I would love to hear about it.

    He updated his page regarding his hack for previous versions of NexGen Gallery, and made me aware of another shortcode option I was not aware of [thumb id].

    This has accomplished, most of what I want to do. I have all the different paintings in separate galleries on the backend, and when displaying in the thumbs in ThickBox you are able to scroll through all the galleries at once.

    Issues remaining:

    1. I’m still having a bit of rendering problem on the 4th section down with the thumbnails not aligning correctly, this is minor I can probably overcome it by resorting things. But this was the artists requested order.

    2. I would like to put a link to do a Flash Slideshow of the work, and have the slideshow go through all the images shown from all galleries.

    3. I need to add a PicLense link. It seems to already be adding all photos from all galleries if you click the PicLense corner icon thingy. Speaking of the corner icon thing, does anyone know why it only seems to show up on some thumbnails and not all of them?

    4. Lastly I would like to do a Slideshow on the homepage that does random selections from all galleries. Is there a way to setup a random slideshow on an album?
