[Plugin: NextGEN Gallery] Template modification?

Is there a way to modify the templates for albums and galleries? Namely, I am wondering if I can grab an image list for galleries inside the Album template. After that I think I could handle it.

But if there are any “official” ways, that would be cool too.

I know that an update would kill the template, I can handle that too.
