• Hello all, I have been using this plugin successfully for a long time but the past few times I’ve used it, I’m getting thumbnails not lining up properly.

On some lines, there may be 4 across, then 3 across on another line, then one across on one line…and they don’t fill the entire box, (for instance, the last row may only have 2 in it), yet the pagination comes up for a second page, even though it could have fit more thumbnails on the first page.

I’ve found that having vertical photos sometimes creates different sized thumbnails, even though I have it set to 10 0x 75…and when I re-size the thumbnail then it sometimes puts that photo’s thumbnail on its own line.

Can someone please help? Here are some instances where this is happening:

    https://marionzachary.com/brettcullen/photos/personal

(On the latter URL, please mouse over the Photos link in the navigation..the menu drops down BEHIND the thumbnails and it can’t be read. Does anyone know why? Is this a CSS issue?)

Thanks for any help! I love this plugin but may have to discontinue using it if I can’t get this alignment problem fixed.

Anyone have any ideas? This is happening across the board for me on all sites I’m using NextGEN with…Thank you!

The phenomenon of your thumbnails not lining is due to the width of the thumbnails not being uniform. This is an issue when you edit the thumbnail. I had brought this up with the author and he fixed it once but then the rounding has reverted back to only 2 places I think so it creates a thmbnail with an width less than 75 pixels.

The thing with your menu probably has something to do with the z-index of the menu element.

i am also having this issue, this is the only other mention i can find of it so far!

it only happens when i create custom thumbnails, but all of a sudden it’ll put in a break in odd spots-
for example, if there are 10 images in a row, it’ll display 10, then 1, then 10, then 1, etc.
but if i re-create the thumbnails to the automatic cropping, it goes away and displays normally (10, 10, 10, etc).

changing the number of columns in the gallery settings hasn’t helped- it does change the spacing, but the number of thumbnails per line (10,1,10,1) does not change.

i’ve investigated the z-index element, but i don’t know much about z-indexes and what i was able to find in the code didn’t seem related to this gallery sorting issue.

would love to hear from anyone else who was able to work around this.
