  • I have 1.7.4, and the freshest wordpress: 3.1.3

    bernhard

    use agreis’s method

I changed the limit to 500M

    It works now.

As said agreis, i simply uncomment (remove //) the line @ini_set(‘memory_limit’, ‘128M’); into /wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/lib/gd.thumbnail.inc.php.

    Problem solved for me.

    Regards

I checked the file and the line was already removed. Thus I wonder whether the error with non-asci code can be solved with enhancing the memory limit.
I will test later this day.

    Hello Alex,

I am running the latest version of wordpress and I have just upgraded to the latest NextGEN update.

The problem is, now I cannot create thumbnails or watermarks for any of my images and I get the following error reports in my browser:

I am not too clued up on messing about with code other than html/css/php and dont know what needs to be done to address these errors….

    Any advice would be apreciated.

Hi, I don’t know if this will help you but it has resolved a lot of issues for me – I read on another forum about the WP Plugin called Use Google Libraries https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/use-google-libraries/. I installed it on a few of my sites and it seems to have completely resolved my .js errors. Let us know if installing it on your site solves this problem. Thanks,
    Harmony

I had the same problem as most people where my images uploaded fine but no thumbnails even though it appeared in the thumbnails loading bar that it was working.

Creating new thumbnails in the manage gallery page didn’t work at first either.

Now, I’m not sure if it was a complete fluke or not but on the next gen options page in the Thumbnail settings tab, I changed the quality from 100% to 95% and lo and behold, the next time I created new thumbnails, it worked.

My slight reservation is that I’ve been trying and changing so many things that I might have done something else that I can’t even recall!

    Anyway, good luck all.
