• Hello, thanks in advance for any help on this subject.

I’m trying to create two custom gallery templates for the same site. I’ve created an nggallery folder in my theme’s directory, and I’ve placed the theme file in there, called “gallery-test1.php”. This is per the Nextgen developers instructions here.

However, when I use the tag [gallery=1 template=test1], my gallery disappears. I works just fine with simply [gallery=1], but it’s using the default gallery.php file in the Nextgen plugin directory.

My end goal is to have two different displays of the gallery thumbnails for two different parts of the site, each calling off a different template.

I have been playing with templates for a while, and that looks about right. What code do you have in the theme file?

For now I have just placed a renamed version of the gallery.php file in there, just to see if it’ll recognize it.

please note that the shortcode changed !

    [gallery id=1 template=test]

    should work
