• I receive the following error when trying to upload pictures from a work computer using Safari for Windows

    Type Error Error #2007 Null

    But when I upload it from any other office computer, or my home computer under the same specs, it goes through fine. Any ideas?

  • Hi there,

    I’ve exactly the same problem. I’ve one very important pc where the upload is not working. With exactly the same typeerror messages.
    That is a really terrible bug or what is it?

    Did you got any help yet?

    Thx in advance for every information,

    Fallback

    Does it happend at FF3 or IE7 ?

    It happens on FF3, IE 6&7. With or without SP3.

    Only on this one computer. All others are working fine.
    This is one is connectet to the internet via ICS. Don’t know if it has something to do with it.
    But I can upload pictures, videos, etc. to other websites like tinypic, imageshack or rapidshare withput problems.

    can you disable the flash upload for a test

    Hi,

    ok, I disabled the batch (flash) upload and now I get no error message, but it doesn’t upload either.
    There is just a new page coming up saying “Loading” and 0% .. nothing happens then.

    But thx for the tip, it’s a beginning. ??

    Try to reduce the image resolution, test it with a very small image

    I tested it with a quite small image, just a white background and a black X, about 10kb ‘big’.
    It makes no difference. ??

    The server is provided by a webhoster and a friend of mine installed the wordpress system. I’m just using it.

    Hello:

    I tried uploading photos from a friend’s computer and it works perfectly. So the problem seems that it isn’t in the server.

    Ah, interesting to see that I’m not the only one with this problem.

    My server settings:

    * Betriebssystem : Linux
    * Server : Apache/1.3.34 Ben-SSL/1.55
    * Speicherverbrauch : 13.23 MByte
    * MySQL Version : 5.0.51a-log
    * SQL Modus : Nicht gesetzt
    * PHP Version : 5.2.6
    * PHP Safe Mode : Aus
    * PHP Allow URL fopen : An
    * PHP Memory Limit : 40M
    * PHP Max Upload Size : 20M
    * PHP Max Post Size : 8M
    * PHP Max Script Execute Time : 50000s
    * PHP Exif Modul : Ja ( V1.4 )
    * PHP IPTC Modul : Ja
    * PHP XML Modul : Ja

    But I think as well that it isn’t the server, cause all works fine on my computer.

    So any other suggestions? And thx for the help. ??

    Hi,

    I also have this problem. I just went from WP 2.5.1 to WP 2.6.2 and when i try to (flash)upload my pictures i get the
    “TypeError Error #2007 null Error” error.

    If i disable flash upload, the upload works fine!

    Any thoughts??

    Hi there,

    finally I got a solution. The second PC was connectet to the internet via ICS, I think that is what causes the problem. It is now connected directly to the router and that works like a charm. ??

    But only with deactivated flash upload!

    Thx and cya,
    Fallback
