• I’ve installed & uninstalled, reinstalled. Still get the same problem.

Here’s what it asks me to do:

    Upgrade NextGEN Gallery

Please update the database of NextGEN Gallery. Click here to proceed.

The script detect that you upgrade from a older version. Your database tables for NextGEN Gallery is out-of-date, and must be upgraded before you can continue. If you would like to downgrade later, please make first a complete backup of your database and the images.

The upgrade process may take a while, so please be patient.
    Start upgrade now…

    Then I get this:

You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.

  • Usually that error is when upgrading and you do not have FULL admin permissions to update the database.
Also are you running in MU mode?
    What version of WP?

    Thanks.!!!

I figured it was something like that. I’m running the newest WP. 3.0.1 or whatever it is…

    What is MU mode?

I’ll try to figure out how to change the permissions on my host/database.

I am also trying to upgrade to the latest version and I get the exact same runaround about updating the database. I set my permissions to 777 and it’s still not working. I’m using WP 3.0.1. The most frustrating aspect of this is I was trying to uninstall because I am already having problems with it. I thought maybe uninstalling and reinstalling may help (I don’t know what happened because it was working for awhile) but i can’t even do that because it’s telling me I need to upgrade first. Any help would be appreciated.
