Since WP version 4.3 Synchi is no longer supported. This is not likely to change as Synchi has only fans, but not contributors. I’ve got involved with answering to what I feel as injustice towards me as the author and am no longer willing to take part in discussions. If you have a problem with the plugin please do try to find a developer willing to become a contributor or become one yourself, it will be appreciated very much.

To all people who provided support on the support forum and via email – thank you.

    Plugin author.

  • May I request that you do one more thing? Please indicate in the WordPress Plugin entry and Description that this plugin is no longer supported by its author, so that potential new users will be aware of this fact before they install it.

Thank you for this wonderful plugin.

For those looking for a replacement for Synchi, may I recommend WP Editor? It does everything Synchi does and more, including being able to preview images in your file system in a FancyBox. It integrates the CodeMirror editor, and has AJAX file system integration and even lets you create new Themes and Plugins from scratch right in the editor (not recommended on a live site, of course).

Again, to @mdjekic: you really need to update this plugin’s entry and Description to reflect the fact that it’s no longer supported, and to advise people to check out WP Editor or other alternatives instead. Until you do, you’re just going to get bombarded by more and more newbies who install this without realizing that you’re not supporting it anymore and neither is anyone else at this time.

If you really want to walk away from this plugin, just do this one thing. You’re the only one who can. It would only take you a few minutes, and it would keep anyone else from installing it.
