Plugin no longer works in 3.9

Well, the plugin doesn’t work as advertised ??
That is: I have setup categories to be displayed on pages. Yet, the pages don’t actually show any of the posts in said category. It remains rather empty.

I’ve used the workaround for now to have categories in the menu, so people can actually see the posts, but this default behaviour of WordPress is not the desired behaviour I’m looking for.

No it doesn’t show anything on your pages be default. It never has.

It does allow you to add your pages to categories and tags and they will show up in search terms.

To get anything displaying around categories on your pages you’ll need to edit your theme.

I realize that this is not clear in the description on the plugin page so I’ll update it to make it more clear.

Do you know of any plugins that do such a thing? Or, alternatively, what should be amended in the theme?

You’ll need to use functions like like the_category to show the category. At the bottom of that page there are links to other functions that display category stuff in WordPress.

To show other pages of the same category you’re going to need to write a custom WP_Query in your theme.
