• Howdy,

First of all, thanks for developing the plugin and great work. That said, I’ve run into an issue–it just does not work any longer on the front end.

Using WordPress, the timeline will show up perfectly in the WP visual editor (which was not the case before, just displayed as a brief line of text), but all I get are pinwheels on the front end. I tried a few test sheets that had worked before, made sure that everything was public, and even tried using the example timeline from https://timeline.knightlab.com/ and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

I looked through all the threads and was unable to find anything that solved the problem (not sure where to find “default settings” to”custom page example” from “The Plugin Has Stopped Working”).

Here’s the test URL/sheet I’m using which worked fine until today: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1jrFM58X9sjHY1dZ4UVLUpnFlHvQpLty8oOlLom8u-Y0/pubhtml

    Here’s the Shortcode as it appears in the text editor: [timeline src="<iframe src="https://cdn.knightlab.com/libs/timeline/latest/embed/index.html?source=1jrFM58X9sjHY1dZ4UVLUpnFlHvQpLty8oOlLom8u-Y0&font=Bevan-PotanoSans&maptype=toner&lang=en&height=650" width="100%" height="650" frameborder="0"></iframe>" width="100%" height="650" font="Bevan-PotanoSans" maptype="toner" lang="en" ]

Any help would be extremely appreciated, I am stumped and flustered over here. Running Version 2.35.6.0 of the Timeline JS Word Press plugin, version 4.2.2 of WordPress. Got a message today saying the Google Sheets were updated, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

    Thanks,

    MJ

I just used exactly the spreadsheet URL you provided on a test WordPress server running the same version of the plugin. It seems to function correctly.

I’m afraid that if you have inconsistent results, it will be hard for us to troubleshoot. If we can’t reproduce the problem, we can’t know if we’ve solved anything.

If you can identify any pattern or reliable way to show us a case where it isn’t working, we can investigate further.

I’m sure that’s not a terribly satisfying answer, but it’s all I can offer.

    Hi Joe,

I’m not sure, may have been an issue with the document, google sheets upgrade, or our server, but it’s working now.

Weird, and thanks for checking it out none the less!
