• It’s just like that: I wanted to install Spam Karma 2.0 but i couldn’t because i could not activate it. There’s the Button, i click it, everything seems right, there’s the Message “activated” but the plugin remains deactivated. I cannot change any status of any other Plugin. (I’m only using wp-cron).

    I’m using WP 2.02 rc3

    The URL: https://www.mydailyadventure.com

I also had the problem that I couldn’t change a Post, if this has anything to do with it.

    Thanks in advance.

Yes definitely. It’s the only account I have.

Funny thing is: It’s working now. When I logged in this morning, SK2 was activated and everything OK.

    Strange.

    But thanks nonetheless.

I too have a similiar problem, I have notice this on many occasions. Sometimes, activated plugins, itself gets deactivated. I had tried to disable few plugins to see which is the casue, but to no avail.

Plugins, which gets de-activated “Spamkarma2”, “Akismet” and some other.

Prob showed up again. I installed a new Plugin, everything was fine – it got activated and is running fine. Then I installed another one (WP-Polls), now again i cannot activate it, nor can i de-/activate any other plugin. Quite annoying.

I might add: There’s no Errormessage, only the “Plugin activated” message, as if everything was normal – only that the plugin remains in its old state.

Update: Login out and in again resolved the problem. Still a strange bug.

There is another step to the SpamKarma plugin – you have to visit the Options -> SpamKarma2 page… did you do that?

    ladydelaluna,

If it is related to my Question, then yes I did and everything is fine in options. The problem is “how come activated plugins on its own gets deactivated?”.

Rok – sometimes there are things you don’t think about when addressing a problem, so I opted to ask that question in the event that maybe had you NOT gone to do that, it may be the reason the plugin’s not working for you.

In situations like yours, there are rarely simple one-liner answers to solve the problem. So while it may appear silly to you for me to ask that question, please know that I’ve personally witnessed “silly questions” to be the solution to the problem many times.

I’m sorry you can’t see why my question to you is related to your problem. But it is. The more information we have, the easier it is to help you.

And this question of mine was addressed to you and to the original poster, “x-tin” who appears to not have resolved his issue either.
