Plugin not visible in tools // iThemes Security

    Hi,
    Searched through these pages to find an answer to why I couldn’t see the plugin after I had installed it.
    I have iThemes Security installed on my site. To get String Locator to appear, I had to disable the “File Editor” setting in the “WordPress Tweaks” section of the iThemes Settings.
    String Locator then worked perfectly from the Tools menu on the dashboard.
    Hope this helps some people.

    Thank you for the heads up, the next version of the plugin (although still not planned out when that will be) also includes a notice if anything is disabling edits, so it will hopefully be a bit more user friendly in those scenarios ??

    Thanks guys, had the same issue with Defender Pro by WPMUdev. Disabling the lock down of “File Editor” allowed the String Locator plugin to show in the menu again
