• When I try to use the plugin I get the following message: Add Link to Facebook – Motivation: Add link: Facebook error: (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action @ 2014-05-01T15:16:37+00:00

I have followed the FAQ extremely carefully, I have reactivated the plugin several times and even created a second app just to test if the permissions were all being correctly set.

I also tried disabling plugins…. any other suggestions? :/

Google search + FAQ did not help, my theory is that for some reason the app cannot properly grab all of my facebook permissions and there is no clear way to add them.

  • @tobo:

Can you please contact me? I don’t know how to fill out alle fields for the app review – can you help me?

If you had success with the Facebook review process, please report back here which information you provided, so others might be helped with it.

I sent my app for review and this is what I got :

    Results from your last submission

    Notes from our review team
    Web
You do not need to request these permissions because your blog or CMS is integrated with an app that you admin. As an App admin, you can already access these permissions and post to your Timeline or a page you admin. You can provide access to additional users by adding them as developers of your App.

Plugin still not working with new apps.
    Works fine with old ones.

‘publish_actions’ is not needed for this plugin, but ‘manage_pages’ is needed to add links to pages, so try to explain this to Facebook. What explanation did you give in your review submission?

Maybe it depends on the reviewer if the permission is granted. Maybe a more elaborate explanation will help.

I am not sure whether’publish_actions’ is required or not now. In the past it wasn’t. Documentation: https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2012/04/25/streamlining-publish_stream-and-publish_actions-permissions/

I’m also having the same issue. I submitted my app for review on 5/13 and the review was completed on 5/14. I was shocked that it only took a day, but maybe that was because they denied almost everything requested.

    This is what I received:

    Approved Items
    LOGIN PERMISSIONS
    email
Provides access to the person’s primary email address. This
    permission is approved by default.
    public_profile
Provides access to a person’s basic information, including first
name, last name, profile picture, gender and age range. This
    permission is approved by default.
    user_friends
Provides access to a person’s list of friends that also use your
app. This permission is approved by default.

The rest were all denied, so I requested ‘Manage Pages’ option again with more details. Explaining that without this permission, the plugin on my site will not be able to post. I will report back what they say. It claimed that it could be up to 7 days, so we will see.

    Like AnnMarieStone8, I didn’t get all request;

There is just one thing you can do: contact Facebook about it.
Without the Facebook permissions the plugin will not work.

but my add link to facebook still says :
Add Link to Facebook – God Knows Rejection!: Add link: Facebook error: (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action @ 2014-05-19T00:27:38+00:00

I am so frustrated because I did went step by step w/Next Script:
    https://www.nextscripts.com/instructions/facebook-social-networks-auto-poster-setup-installation/
I even bought add link to facebook pro version because I thought it might help, but nope. I guess I will contact facebook? ??

The pro version will not solve any problems and/or errors you might have with the free version. Nevertheless there will be support for pro version users for any problem you might encounter.

I know it is annoying, but only Facebook can help you.
IMHO Facebook has made this too complicated, but who am I?

okay let me get this straight I need manage_pages to make the plugin work?
who exactly do I contact at facebook?
