Plugin not working

Try to activate another theme to see if it is related to the theme.

We utilise a custom theme for this site, would this cause a problem and we cannot amend to a std theme for usability.

Is there a known issue with this plugin and custom themes and is there a fix?

It depends on your code.

Do you use the standard WordPress function: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Navigation_Menus

It only works with the standard WP function.

Thanks for your response.
We do use wp_nav_menu to apply our menus to the header, so not sure why this isn’t working in the back end.

Could it be a conflicting plugin? do you know of any plugins that cause issues with this?

In your theme, do you use the “register_nav_menus” method (see: https://codex.www.ads-software.com/Function_Reference/register_nav_menus) to register a menu location?
The plugin allows you to control what menu shows up in what “location”, however the theme has to register those locations. Please check out this tutorial on how to setup menus in WP the right way: https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-themes/how-to-add-custom-navigation-menus-in-wordpress-3-0-themes/
