Plugin Not Working After wordpress 5.5 Update

    After have my site auto update to wordpress 5.5, the WPBakery Page Builder doesn’t show up in the page editor anymore. The formating is still their on all my pages, but can’t edit no more because the plugin isn’t available in editor mode.

    I have the same issue I have more than 56 websites on wp bakery all theme are not showing wpbakery kindly suggest how its start working………….

    Once I updated WP Bakery, it worked fine with WordPress 5.5.

    Try this plugin: Enable jQuery Migrate Helper

    For anyone trying to fix this issue here’s my solution. For me WPBakery Page Builder backend builder was missing and so were the big blue buttons to switch between classic and front end.

    Long story short, after disabling YOAST, WPBakery is working fine now. Running WP Core 5.5 and WPBakery Version 6.3.0.

    Seems the issue at least for me was YOAST premium Version 9.3

    For us, WPB 6.3 WP5.5 PHP 7.3 (tried 7.0)

    Enable jQuery Migrate Helper allowed WPB to work.

    All plugins deactivated except WPB 6.3 and the error shown is:

    jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated

    Thank you very much, it’s work for me. Now I can work with wpbakery but your suggested plugin tells me a worning incountered “/assets/js/admin-main.js:141:40: jQuery.fn.live() is deprecated”.. any idea? It’s work anyway

    If you have Elementor plugin installed and have edited the page with is, while your theme is solely developed using WP Bakery Page Builder (Visual Composer), then you might need to deactivate Elementor for the WP Bakery Page Builder to work.

    That’s the issue in my case

    The Plugin “enable jquery migrate helper” worked for me!

    I update all of plugins and installed “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” but still not work till I stop “DesignThemes Core Features Plugin”! So in my case, “DesignThemes Core Features Plugin” is the trouble maker.

    I stupidly updated my site to 5.5.1 wihtout backing it up. I know what a ……

    Had a nightmare as it appeared broke and just a white screen with the odd content. I solved this by installing an app that deleted all the Cache and minified cached Javascript. This reset the site and it worked normally. However, the WP Bakery front editor worked but not the backend editor. Checked a few threads and I disabled the essential grid plugin and now everything *touch wood* works fine.

    Will try and remember to back site up before and wordpress updates next time. I say that..

    Incognito mode worked for me!
