Plugin not working after WP update

I updated WordPress to the current 5.1.1 version last Friday. Since then iQ Block Country has not been working. I’m using the latest version of the plug-in and the GeoIP2 database is installed. I know it’s not working because I have Google Analytics on the site and am suddenly getting lots of users from outside the UK. I tried blocking my own country from the front end using country and then my IP address, but I can still see the website. Tried clearing the cache and it made no difference.
Is there anything you can suggest I try? I noticed that the plug-in hasn’t been officially tested with WP 5.1.1 so could there be an unknown issue?
