Not sending invoices to fulfillment email and not printing invoices when I go to customers order and use the PDF Invoice (Create). Sends me to HTTP ERROR 500. Used to work. I am using WooCommerce v3.1.2 and WooCommerce PDF Invoices v.2.9.3. Memory is set @ 256 MB (PHP 5.6.31)…

    Please help!!
    Thanks!

Do you get any errors when you enabled debug output? (WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Status > Debug output)?
More diagnostic checks in the forum sticky: Read this first!

I enable debug output and still get the same error. I read the diagnostic check and
    1. There are no orange or red flags
    2. using default template
    3. 256MB memory
    4. Enabled dubug output
    5. only geting this error: odyprepportals.com is currently unable to handle this request.
    HTTP ERROR 500

also, I have not installed any new plugins. I am using Avada theme and all of the WooCommerce settings have been configured in theme options.

your continuing help is greatly appreciated to get this resolved.

    Thanks!!

Hi! If you’re still getting a 500 error, it could be your host is actively preventing PHP errors from being shown on your site. Ask them if you can access your PHP error log somewhere and give them the time of your attempt to create the PDF, perhaps they can tell you what’s wrong.

I originally contacted my host and we couldn’t find any issues. They indicated to me that it was the plugin itself and to contact you… so, that’s where we are at this point. It has been working for several years and all of a sudden, it stopped…???

Hi! I understand that it is the plugin, but a 500 error is not enough to determine the root cause of this issue.
A 500 error stems from an underlying PHP error and you need to know the actual error to be able to properly debug.

However, I just noticed something else from your first post above: “WooCommerce PDF Invoices v.2.9.3” – this is an entirely different plugin!
This forum is for the plugin “WooCommerce PDF Invoices & Packing Slips”, your plugin is here:

    Hope that helps!

WOW!! I’m so sorry. In light of this, I have uploaded your plugin and it seems to work. Does the PDF generated get sent to fulfillment email address? Also, I have some custom fields that helps fulfillment deliver appropriately. When I generate an invoice using your plugin, those custom fields are not included in the pdf invoice…

Anything you can do to help would be greatly appreciated!!

    Thanks!!

No worries, glad to have that mystery solved ??

The PDF can be attached to any WooCommerce email, so if you have configured an email that is sent to your fulfillment partner, you should see this email in the attachment settings (WooCommerce > PDF Invoices > Documents > Invoice) too.
To add custom fields to the PDF you can follow this guide: Displaying a custom field

The extension bundle makes a lot of this much easier, some highlights that would be useful for your requirements:

    • Set up a separate email to be sent to a predefined email address, which is sent out at a specified order status (to which you can attach any PDF).
    • Easily add custom fields from both the order or the products via the customizer
    • Send packing slip by email
    • Additional Proforma PDF document which you could use if you want to send a different PDF for fulfillment

Let me know if you have any other questions!
