Hey all, I hope somebody can help me regulate this issue ASAP as it’s really stumping me.

So, I have an intranet site that I built for my employer, which is hosted on an internal server (that uses IIS), so I have the actual wordpress version of the site located on my personal domain: https://www.seekoften.com/hr_intranet/events. And how I currently have it set-up is that I make the changes necessary, send my supervisor the link to verify (on my domain) and if they approve, I use a web crawler (SiteSucker for OS X) to download the site in an IIS-friendly format, and replace the files on the local server.

This had been working for a couple of years, but now with the implementation of this calendar plugin, the crawler takes FAR longer to download the site, and seems to hang on the last 2-4 files indefinitely. And then when I bring it over to my machine (either on MAMP, or on the PC’s Shared network) in .html format, the calendar still displays properly, but won’t let me navigate by month, if I click them, it just shows me a “spinning pinwheel” and it never loads.

If somebody could PLEASE help me figure this out, it would be greatly appreciated! I’m practically at wits end, and I really don’t know what else to try! Any guidance at all would be super.

    Thanks in advance,

I Hope to hear back from somebody in the near future.

    Sincerely,

    Toker.

    Hi Toker,

Thanks for your post. I’m sorry to hear you’re encountering issues with the plugin. While we do want to make sure we’re serving everyone as best we can, we’re also limited here at the dot-org forum to only providing support for bugs in the plugin codebase (as outlined in the forum guidelines that exist as a sticky post at the front page).

It looks like the issue you’re reporting here unfortunately falls outside that scope. We want to do our best to get you sorted, though, and so here are some resources that might be helpful:

? Themer’s Guide – provides an overview of how to customize the plugin’s frontend appearance.
? Tutorials – useful tips and tricks for changing how the plugin looks and behaves.
? Technical Docs – provides an overview of the classes and functions in each plugin

Perhaps someone else on the forum will be able to offer up more. Good luck, and thanks for using The Events Calendar!

Thanks Leah! I appreciate the reply, regardless of how “limited” it may be.

It appears that I’m going to have my company’s IT dept set up WordPress on our IIS server, or if that can’t work, set up an instance of Apache.

This will undoubtedly solve my awfully unconventional workflow, and make it a lot more streamlined.

    Thanks again.

That’s great news Toker! Best of luck to you with the new set up.

    Cheers,
    Leah
