    Hi,

I updated yesterday to WP 4.4. Today, a scheduled post was missed and we published it manually.

I looked in my cron list, and didn’t see anything that looked like the plugin’s event was there.

I deactivated, and reactivated the plugin, but I still don’t see anything.

I am using this version of the plugin.

    Version 2015.0207.2314

Here is what WP is showing in my Cron list right now.

    What’s in Cron?

    Hi,

The version is what I’m seeing on the plugins page.

    Here is a screenshot

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B_xeS-OgIIkCb2R5MVAzcEg1MHM/view?usp=sharing

I will try reinstalling the plugin to see if that does anything.

    Hi,

So I disabled my current WP MS plugin and deleted it.
I installed the cleaner and activate/deactive and removed it.

I then installed from the plugin store WP MS. Version 2014.1231.2015

I cleared all my caches along the way.

I’m not sure how I would test if its working. Do you know how to test it?

    Rich

I then checked What’s in Cron, and it showed the following:

    … umh! !!

Version 2015.0207.2314 is Outdated Beta Release Build 2015-02-07 – Beta software is not for production sites or blogs! – New Beta Release, STABLE – with same mechanism is Version 2015.0228.3 available here This version not flushing Object Cache etc … read here https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/possible-plugin-improvement/ your previous post! The interval of cheching of Missed Scheduled Posts was add as Cron Schedules and named wp_scheduled_missed – This is not present on your cron lists …

Version 2014.1231.2015 is the latest STABLE official release of WP Missed Schedule … that for not flushing Object Cache etc … implement WordPress Transients for storing the checking interval.

Remember that W3 Total Cache … db and opcode modules … breaking cron to run properly.

1 – If you run beta version check on your cron if is available wp_scheduled_missed batch.

2 – It you run official tag version, simple verify if exist missed schedule posts … use miss link for this when plugin is activated … and if it was corrected.

    Hi,

I tried using 2015.0228.3, I still don’t see any relevant event in Cron.

    WP-Cron Events
There was a problem spawning a call to the WP-Cron system on your site. This means WP-Cron events on your site may not work. The problem was:
The DISABLE_WP_CRON constant is set to true. WP-Cron spawning is disabled.

The problem is not my plugin.

Search a WordPress consultant near you, to solve these problems.

This discussion is off topic, beyond the usual issues related to my plugins.

In the absence of details on the configuration used, and without a quick return of posts, I can not help further.

I repeat: these are issues not related to my plugins.

    If you have the variable

    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON',true);

set in this way, it is not the fault of my plugins.

To working correctly, my and others plugins, this variable was set to default value

    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON',false);

Normally it is a variable that should not be touched.

No editing, or add and modify your default valueit, except without knowing what it really goes to do.

    Good Luck.

I’ve had DISABLE_WP_CRON set to true for many years.

This disables the internal cron mechanism of WP which does not reliably run on the desired time schedule.

I use a “real” cron job on my server to call wp-cron.php every 5 minutes.

    See:

    https://code.tutsplus.com/articles/insights-into-wp-cron-an-introduction-to-scheduling-tasks-in-wordpress–wp-23119

    or

    https://wpdailybits.com/blog/replace-wordpress-cron-with-real-cron-job/74

    For more info on this.

Any case, you plugin was working with

    <br />
    define('DISABLE_WP_CRON',true);<br />

up until I installed WP 4.4.

As far as I can tell, it does not work with WP 4.4.

    I found this issue.

    Another plugin

    https://www.ads-software.com/support/plugin/rvg-optimize-database

    Was not properly handling

    add_filter for cron_schedules

This pretty much broke every plugin that relied on registering a custom schedule, including this one.
