Plugin not working properly with WPML

  • We use WPML to translate our website from English to German, however the events only show up when the page is displayed the original/main language (English). If you switch to german, it states that not events exist. Both an english and german version of the event exist. I tried re-creating the page and events, but it still doesn’t show up. Is there anything I’ve missed?

    I don’t have much experience with WPML, but have a copy of it as well.

    By default I notice if you add translation to an event, you must also set the meta (date, time, location, etc) again. Please change your WPML dashboard language to German via the WPML button at the top of the screen, and click any event. You will notice there’s no meta set. This means the meta fields are not duplicated when adding translation.

    But via the WPML > Settings > “Custom Fields Translation” you can check all event fields and check “copy” to fix this. But this only works for newly added events.
