[Plugin: Notifly] Email excerpt instead of entire post?

I am after something similar where the code can be modified to state that a ‘new post’ has been posted without letting the recipients of the email see its content which makes them visit the blog page to view it.

Any good coders out there that will take a look at the Notifly code and suggest something! Or, perhaps the original author of the plugin would take a look.
